First Dutch Apple Store

AMSTERDAM - The first official Apple Store in the Netherlands opened Saturday at 10.00 hours on the Leidseplein in Amsterdam.

The Apple Store in Amsterdam is the biggest Apple Store in the world when it comes to the number of products on display. With the opening of the first Dutch Apple Store in Amsterdam, it will become the company’s first retail venue in the Benelux. The store features the longest Genius Bar in the world. At the Genius Bar, visitors can talk with an Apple employee when they have questions or need hands-on technical support for their Mac, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, or iPhone. With the Apple Store app you can Make Genius Bar and One to One reservations and sign up for workshops and events.

It was a mad house on Amsterdam's Leidseplein. Hours before the opening there were already fans waiting. There was a long row till the Vondelpark.

The interior of the Apple Store is truly beautiful. A combination between the old architecture of the building and the ultramodern style of Apple are a nice mix. Especially the glass staircase is an attraction.
