My loves are ..............

I call you when I need you, my heart's on fire
You come to me, come to me wild and wired
Mmm, you come to me
Give me everything I need

Give me a lifetime of promises and a world of dreams
Speak a language of love like you know what it means
Mmm, it can't be wrong
Take my heart and make it strong, baby

You're simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
I'm stuck on your heart, I hang on every word you say
Tear us apart no, no, baby, I would rather be dead

In your heart I see the star of every night and every day
In your eyes I get lost, I get washed away
Just as long as I'm here in your arms
I could be in no better place

You're simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
I'm stuck on your heart, I hang on every word you say
Tear us apart no, no, baby, I would rather be dead

Each time you leave me I start losing control
You're walking away with my heart and my soul
I can feel you even when I'm alone
Oh baby, don't let go

Ooh you're the best (woo)
Better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
Ooh, I'm stuck on your heart,
I hang on every word you say
Don't tear us apart no, no, no,
Baby, I would rather be dead
Oooh, you're the best!

Mister Blue

Jenna made this picture of me and I been looking for a song that would fit with it. I found and it is one of my favorite songs, here performed by a Dutch singer Rene Klijn.

Mister Blue
Winter sounds are crying like the old man's slowly dying
And the only sound, the wind that fills the trees
Even colder comes the moon and though it never seems to soon
Sudden stillness as the rainfall starts to freeze

I'm mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too
Oh mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too

A young girl she's shaded, bears the scars that never faded
Of the baby that was born on Christmas day
While the heavens sing their song, a child his life is never long
Cause the food supplies will only last a day

I'm mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too
Oh mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too

Patriot emotion is the cause of the commotion
After all there's really no one here to blame
Soldiers taking orders cause they must defend the borders
Of our nation and the other side is the same

I'm mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too
Oh mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too

I'll come to you at night, when all the world is sleeping tight
And lie beside you till the early morning dew
You can't hear me, you can't see me, you can't feel me when you read
The folded letter she left addressed to you

I'm mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too
Oh mister Blue,
I'm here to stay with you
And no matter what you do
When you're lonely, I'll be lonely too
I'm lonely too

René Klijn was a Dutch singer and model. He starred in a Dutch television program to talk about his AIDS disease. At the end of the program he sang ‘Mr. Blue’, a song originally by Yazoo.
A few days after the broadcast the single ‘Mr. Blue’ became a #1 hit in the Netherlands, and René Klijn donated all the money he made with it to the Dutch AIDS foundation.
René Klijn died only a few weeks later (at the age of 30) because of AIDS. (Den Haag, 8 september 1962 – 5 september 1993)

Yazoo (known as Yaz in the U.S.) are an English synthpop duo from Basildon, Essex. They had a number of top ten hits in the British charts in the early 1980s. Formed in late 1981 by former Depeche Mode songwriter Vince Clarke (synthesizer) and English singer Alison Moyet (vocals), Yazoo was signed to Mute Records in the United Kingdom and (as "Yaz") to Sire Records in the United States. Yazoo's debut single "Only You" backed with "Situation," was released on 15 March 1982 and rose to number two in the UK charts. Yazoo released two successful studio albums, Upstairs at Eric's in 1982 and You and Me Both in 1983. Shortly after, Moyet and Clarke decided to break up. Moyet pursued a solo career while Clarke went on to form Erasure, another synth pop duo. Yazoo temporarily reunited in 2008 with a tour in Europe and the United States and the release of a four-disc box set.

Party & Proposal of Marriage

Yesterday we had our 70’s party at T.R.A.C.S. Our guest did much work to come in there 70’s outfit. It made me very angry that we had a cheater (in a non 70’s outfit) that teleported some friends in when the voting was on. I am very sorry that this happen. I apologize to our guest that come regular to our parties and did so much work to come in there theme costume. I hope it will not happen again. I hope it will not be necessary that only members that been invited to the group can join contest and vote.
Here are some pictures of the party.
After the party we went to the house warming party of Jenna and Kip. And we where witness that Kip ask Jenna to marry him. And Jenna said YES.

Ode To Billy Joe

Quagmire post a comment on the last post. It did confused me first and maybe it confused more readers of my Blog.

LOL, I wasn't Tom Cruise in "Risky Business", I was Robby Benson in "Ode To Billy Joe". Thanks for the ode to Billy Joe. J/K I was "Tommy Boy".

But it also made me curious and I looked a bit around on the net and watched the movie.

About the movie:
Ode to Billy Joe is a 1976 film with a screenplay by Herman Raucher adapted from his own novel, which in turn was based on the 1967 hit song by Bobbie Gentry, also titled "Ode to Billie Joe" (note different spelling).

The film explores the budding relationship between McAllister (Benson) and Bobbie Lee Hartley (O'Connor), who corresponds to the unnamed narrator of the original song. Hartley and McAllister struggle to form a relationship despite resistance from Hartley's family, who contend she is too young to date. They develop the relationship, despite the obstacles in their way.
One night at a country jamboree celebration, however, McAllister gets drunk and seems nauseous and confused when entering a makeshift whorehouse behind the gathering. It turns out that in his inebriated state, he has sex with another man who later turns out to be his sawmill boss, Dewey Barksdale (James Best). After disappearing for days, he returns to bid an enigmatic goodbye to Bobbie Lee. The film depicts their relationship as never having progressed beyond simple kissing and McAllister claims that his sinful guilt is interfering with even this level of intimacy, despite his love for Hartley.
Overcome with guilt, McAllister subsequently kills himself by jumping off the bridge spanning the Tallahatchie River in Mississippi.
The next scene is just before he jumps of the bridge.

In the film's final scene, Bobbie Lee meets Dewey on the bridge as she is leaving town, and he guiltily confesses to her that he was the man. She insinuates that she has invented a rumor of being pregnant, possibly to counteract town gossip about Billie Joe's homosexuality.

About the actor:
Robby Benson (born January 21, 1956) is an American film and television actor, television director, and educator. Benson was born Robin David Segal in Dallas, Texas, the son of Ann (née Benson), a singer, actress, and business promotions manager, and Jerry Segal, a writer. Benson was raised in New York City and took his mother's maiden name as his stage name when he was 10.

Benson made his Broadway debut in The Rothschilds. Benson had an early role on the daytime soap Search for Tomorrow (1971-72). As a film star, Benson was popular for roles of teens in coming-of-age films, such as in 1972's Jory (his screen debut), in Jeremy (1973), and as Billy Joe McAllister in Ode to Billy Joe (1976).

About the song:
"Ode to Billie Joe" is a 1967 song written and recorded by Bobbie Gentry, a singer-songwriter from Chickasaw County, Mississippi. The single, released in late July, was a number-one hit in the United States, and became a big international seller.

Ode to Billie Joe  lyrics

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin' cotton and my brother was balin' hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And Mama hollered out the back door "y'all remember to wipe your feet"
And then she said "I got some news this mornin' from Choctaw Ridge"
"Today Billy Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge"

And Papa said to Mama as he passed around the blackeyed peas
"Well, Billy Joe never had a lick of sense, pass the biscuits, please"
"There's five more acres in the lower forty I've got to plow"
And Mama said it was shame about Billy Joe, anyhow
Seems like nothin' ever comes to no good up on Choctaw Ridge
And now Billy Joe MacAllister's jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And Brother said he recollected when he and Tom and Billie Joe
Put a frog down my back at the Carroll County picture show
And wasn't I talkin' to him after church last Sunday night?
"I'll have another piece of apple pie, you know it don't seem right"
"I saw him at the sawmill yesterday on Choctaw Ridge"
"And now you tell me Billie Joe's jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge"

And Mama said to me "Child, what's happened to your appetite?"
"I've been cookin' all morning and you haven't touched a single bite"
"That nice young preacher, Brother Taylor, dropped by today"
"Said he'd be pleased to have dinner on Sunday, oh, by the way"
"He said he saw a girl that looked a lot like you up on Choctaw Ridge"
"And she and Billy Joe was throwing somethin' off the Tallahatchie Bridge"

A year has come 'n' gone since we heard the news 'bout Billy Joe
And Brother married Becky Thompson, they bought a store in Tupelo
There was a virus going 'round, Papa caught it and he died last Spring
And now Mama doesn't seem to wanna do much of anything
And me, I spend a lot of time pickin' flowers up on Choctaw Ridge

And drop them into the muddy water off the Tallahatchie Bridge

About the singer:

Roberta Lee Streeter (born July 27, 1944), professionally known as Bobbie Gentry, is a retired American singer-songwriter notable as one of the first female country artists to write and produce her own material. Her songs typically drew on her Mississippi roots to compose vignettes of the Southern United States.
Gentry shot to international fame with her intriguing Southern Gothic narrative "Ode to Billie Joe" in 1967.

More news from the T.R.A.C.S. party

From our star reporter we got some unpublished pictures from the party last Saturday. Our editorial staff was afraid that this pant less gentleman was forgot to wear his pants and that publishing this pictures would bring the good man in trouble (and us of course for getting a lawsuit). But after some research, we learn that he was dressed as the actor Tom Cruise in a outfit of the movie Risky Business, a 1983 comedy-drama film written by Paul Brickman in his directorial debut. It is best known for being the film that launched Tom Cruise to stardom.
When his parents go away on a trip, Joel's friend Miles (Curtis Armstrong) convinces him to take advantage of his newfound freedom by having some fun. On the first night, he raids the liquor cabinet, plays the stereo loudly, and dances around the living room in his underwear and pink dress shirt to the tune of "Old Time Rock and Roll" (song made famous by Bob Seger).
We are thankful that some people draw the attention to us about this failure in our news about the T.R.A.C.S. party. We are very sorry that our editorial staff did not enough research and we apologize for that.
