the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW @ T.R.A.C.S part 2

[Sadly real life needs a lot of my time at the moment otherwise there would be a few more parts about the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW]

So let's continue the Plot
They are soon swept into the world of Dr. Frank N. Furter, a self-proclaimed "Sweet Transvestite" from Transsexual, Transylvania. The ensemble of convention attendees also includes servants Riff Raff, his sister/lover Magenta, and a groupie named Columbia.

"Sweet Transvestite"
is a song from 1973 British musical stage production, The Rocky Horror Show and its 1975 film counterpart The Rocky Horror Picture Show, of which the book, music and lyrics by Richard O'Brien, and the musical arrangements by Richard Hartley.
In numeric order this song originally came fourth, but was switched with the following number, "Time Warp", for the latter to come before Tim Curry's entrance. (see part 1)
The song is performed by the character, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, originated on stage and screen by actor Tim Curry, who performed in all of the original productions except Australia's. This includes the short lived first run on Broadway.

It introduces the character of Dr. Frank N. Furter to the audience and Brad and Janet. He openly boasts where he's from, what he is, what he's been doing and why he does it. The song is one of the film and stage show's most famous and includes one of the show's most notorious lines, "I'm just a sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania".

Sweet Transvestite Lyrics

Frank:
How d'you do, I
See you've met my
Faithful handyman.
He's just a little brought down
Because when you knocked
He thought you were the candy man.
Don't get strung out by the way I look.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
I'm not much of a man by the light of day
But by night I'm one hell of a lover.
I'm just a sweet transvestite
> From Transexual, Transylvania.
Let me show you around
Maybe play you a sound.
You look like you're both pretty groovy.
Or if you want something visual
That's not too abysmal,
We could take in an old Steve Reeves movie.

Brad:
I'm glad we caught you at home,
Could we use your phone?
We're both in a bit of a hurry.

Janet:
Right.

Brad:
We'll just say where we are,
Then go back to the car.
We don't want to be any worry.

Frank:
Well you got with a flat, well, how `bout that?
Well, babies, don't you panic.
By the light of the night it'll all seem alright.
I'll get you a satanic mechanic.
I'm just a sweet transvestite
> From Transexual, Transylvania.
Why don't you stay for the night? (Night)
Or maybe a bite? (Bite)
I could show you my favourite obsession.
I've been making a man
With blond hair and a tan
And he's good for relieving my... ...tension
I'm just a sweet transvestite
> From Transexual, Transylvania.
HIT IT, HIT IT!
I'm just a sweet transvestite. (Sweet transvestite)
Sweet transvestite
> From Transexual, Transylvania.

So - come up to the lab,
And see what's on the slab.
I see you shiver with antici - (3 seconds) - pation.
But maybe the rain
Isn't really to blame.
So I'll remove the cause. (chuckles)
But not the symptom.

Plot continue
Frank claims to have discovered the "secret to life itself". His creation, Rocky Horror, is brought to life. The ensuing celebration is soon interrupted by Eddie, an ex-delivery boy, partial brain donor to Rocky, and Columbia's lover, who rides out of a deep freeze on a motorcycle. In a jealous rage, Frank corners him and kills him with an ice axe. He then departs with Rocky to a bridal suite off of the laboratory.

Brad and Janet are shown to separate bedrooms where each is visited and seduced by Frank, who poses as Brad and then Janet. Janet, upset and emotional, wanders off to look for Brad, who she discovers, via a television monitor, is with Frank. She then discovers Rocky, cowering in his birth tank, hiding from Riff Raff, who has been tormenting him. While tending to his wounds, Janet becomes intimate with Rocky, as Magenta and Columbia watch from their bedroom monitor.
After discovering that his creation is missing, Frank, Brad and Riff Raff return to the lab, where Frank learns that an intruder has entered the building. Dr. Everett Scott, Brad and Janet's old high school science teacher, has come looking for his nephew, Eddie, but Frank suspects that Dr. Scott investigates UFOs for the government. Upon learning of Brad and Janet's connection to Scott, Frank suspects them of working for him. Frank, Dr. Scott, Brad, and Riff Raff then discover Janet and Rocky together under the sheets in Rocky's birth tank, upsetting Frank and Brad.

Rocky and the guests are served dinner, which they soon realize has been prepared from Eddie's mutilated body. Janet runs screaming into Rocky's arms and is slapped and chased through the halls of the castle by a jealous Frank. Janet, Brad, Dr. Scott, Rocky and Columbia all meet in Frank's lab, where Frank captures them with the Medusa Transducer, transforming them into statues. They are then forced to perform a live cabaret floor show and have an orgy in the pool, with Frank as the leader.

The performance is interrupted by Riff Raff and Magenta, who stage a coup and announce their plan to return to the planet of Transsexual in the galaxy of Transylvania. In the process, they kill Columbia, Rocky and Frank. They release Brad, Janet and Dr. Scott, and then depart by lifting off in the Castle itself.

The narrator then finishes the film by concluding that the human race is equivalent to insects crawling on the planet's surface.

the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW @ T.R.A.C.S part 1

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the 1975 film adaptation of the British rock musical stageplay, The Rocky Horror Show, written by Richard O'Brien. The film is a parody of B-movie, science fiction and horror films of the late 1940s through early 1970s. Director Jim Sharman collaborated on the screenplay with O'Brien, who wrote both the book and lyrics for the stage. The film introduces Tim Curry and features Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick along with cast members from the original Kings Road production presented at the Royal Court Theatre, London in 1973.

Plot
The story, narrated by a criminologist, tells the tale of newly-engaged couple Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, who find themselves lost and with a flat tire on a cold and rainy late November evening. Seeking a phone with which to call for help, Brad and Janet discover a group of strange and outlandish people who are holding an Annual Transylvanian Convention. They watch as the Transylvanians, servants and a tap-dancing groupie dance the film's signature song, "Time Warp".
to be continued

"The Time Warp" is a song featured in the 1973 rock musical The Rocky Horror Show and in the 1975 film adaption The Rocky Horror Picture Show, as well as a dance performed during the chorus of the song of the same name. The song is both an example and a parody of the dance song genre in which much of the content of the song is given over to dance step instructions. The dance is one of the major audience-participation activities during screenings of the film and performances of the show. It has become a popular song beyond the reaches of the film and show, and is often played at dances and weddings. An extended remix version of the song was released in 1989.

"The Time Warp" was the fifth song in the original stage show (after "Science Fiction/Double Feature", "Dammit, Janet!", "Over at the Frankenstein Place" and "Sweet Transvestite"), but fourth in the film (following "Over at the Frankenstein Place"). Stage productions continued to use the original placing until Richard O'Brien revised the script for the 1990 West End revival in which he moved the song to the film’s placing. For reasons of pacing, most productions now follow this order.

The song consists of verses sung by alternating characters, serving as the introduction to two of them, and choruses sung by the chorus of "Transylvanians" (Movie) or "Phantoms" (Musical), and the Criminologist/Narrator (played by Charles Gray in the movie). The characters that sing the verses are, in order, Riff-Raff (Richard O'Brien in the movie), Magenta (Patricia Quinn in the movie), and Columbia (Little Nell Campbell in the movie). After the second full chorus, Columbia often launches into her tap dance.

TIME WARP lyrics

It's astounding
Time is fleeting
Madness, takes its toll
But listen closely

Not for very much longer
I've got to, keep control
I remember don' the time warp
Drinking those moments when

The blackness would hit me,
And the void would be calling
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust,
That really drives you insane
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

It's so dreamy
Oh fantasy free me
So you can't see me
No, not at all

In another dimension
With voyeristic intention
Well secluded, I see all
With a bit of a mind flip

You're into the time slip
And nothing, can ever be the same
You're spaced out on sensation
Like you're under sedation

Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again
Well I was walking down the street
Just a having a think

When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink
He shook-a me up, he took me by surprise
He had a pick up truck and the devil's eyes
He stared at me and I felt a change

Time meant nothing, never would again
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again
It's just a jump to the left

And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust,

That really drives you insane
Let's do the time warp again
Let's do the time warp again

T.R.A.C.S - PIMPS PARTY part 5

T.R.A.C.S was decorated as Red Light District when we had, Saturday, the PIMPS PARTY.
With a lot of nice comments about the music, the decoration and the party itself, 31 people on the counter during the party and 26 people on the sim at one time, you could say that we had a great party. DJ Dean had made a wonderful set and, as always, played requests.
The vote board was filled with L$2000 and was set to split, so that everybody, that had one vote, could win some money for his or her creation. The winners with the most votes were: Norbie Rossini (5), PrzemkoPL Resident (5) and Ellbee Allen (4). I did not worried to get a picture of every guest and as you probable understand the dance floor was so crowded that it also was hard to make good pictures. So I could enjoy the party.
