Wedding of Cat and Bono

Tim and I were cordially invited to celebrate the wedding of  Cat and Bono.

I think most of the readers know Cat and Bono. Cat is a deejay and a blues lover. But I think she loves all kind of music. When Cat has a gig T.R.A.C.S she always finds the best songs in theme. I met Cat for the first time when she was deejay at the Guitar Museum. One day I dear to ask her if she could do a gig at the beach on River Island and she said yes. After the party she told me that she loved the beach and the beach house and asked me if she could rent it. Sure she could and she still lived there till her marriage with Bono. 

Bono is owner of the Guitar Museum. I started to go often to the Guitar Museum because there were lots of great performants of life artist. On one night he told me than he was a guitar player in real life and on a day, after the guest left, he let me listen to some of his guitar play. Sometime after that he started to accompany a solo artist (sorry I forgot her name). Months later he went solo and plays almost daily at several venues on SL.

It was wonderful to see and hear Lisa (Brune) again at the wedding party

I did send my brother Caasper a taxi to listen to Lisa. He was to shy to come near because he was not dressed for a wedding but he loved her singing.

The party went on with more music and artists. Tim and I had a great time.

GOT THE BLUES part III

Bono Fouroux

Bono Fouroux is a guitar player and composer from Amsterdam (the Netherlands).

He is playing from his youth till now guitars in different originals bands. Also did just a few cover bands next to a theater band.

Favorite guitars are Gibson and Fender, but he also built his own or does customize them.

Bono, is always trying to make different characters of sounds. He mostly plays solid body guitars. Not acoustics.

Bono likes to play the blues in SL. Originals and some Pink Floyd related music as well.

He is doing dual streaming with Swina Allen, Yumichan Allen and Veronica Weksler. He also played with Grif Bamaisin and a few others.

Bono's favorites are Peter Green, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, all the blues music, white and black and Pink Floyd or related.

The (SL) Guitar Museum has closed its doors end of February. Oddy wrote:

Kinda sad news….We, the staff of the SL Guitar Museum just closed doors. The only reason is that what started out as ‘a fun thing to do’, turned into a (almost) 24/7 job. We had lots of live musicians, dj’s and such, and while we got some help from some awesome friends (you know who you are guys, thanks!!), a lot of work came down on us, 3 owners of the guitar museum. We had to decorate (winter, Easter, Halloween, spring, X-mas, new year, etc, etc settings (great advice Angel)), arrange gigs, host lots of those gigs, research guitar musicians info (awesome job Bono), Build this, build that (yay Oddy) .. We were busy..............

I was the lucky one, last weekend, who hear Bono playing some great blues.

But there was also some time to relax on our sim.

Jar Of Hearts

Last week I have been to two concerts of Lisa Brune. 
Jar of Hearts is one of the songs she sang.

Very often I see Jaguar at Lisa's concerts. Jaguar is one of the hostesses at the Guitar Museum. I did write about her when she had her birthday party at the Guitar Museum.

Christina Judith Perri (born August 19, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter and musician from Philadelphia. Her song "Jar of Hearts" charted in the United States after it was featured on the Fox television show So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. Rolling Stone named her the "Band of the Week" on October 26, 2010. On May 10, 2011, Perri's "Jar of Hearts" was featured on Glee (Season 2, Episode 20 "Prom Queen"). Also, on June 27, 2011, Perri's "Jar of Hearts" was featured on Switched at Birth (Season 1, Episode 4 "Dance Amongst Daggers"). One of her songs, "A Thousand Years", has been in the Twilight saga movie Breaking Dawn.

"Jar of Hearts" is the debut single by American singer-songwriter Christina Perri. The song was released onto iTunes July 27, 2010, a week after its debut on So You Think You Can Dance. The song was included on Perri's debut EP The Ocean Way Sessions and appeared on Perri's debut album, lovestrong.

"Jar of Hearts" has been described as an autobiographical song for Christina Perri, recalling an ex-boyfriend who wanted to reconnect after a tough breakup. "Jar of Hearts" is a rock-oriented tune that is about shunning the continued advances of a former flame who was ungrateful while together, yet now wants to rekindle a failed romance.

Lyrically the ballad revolves around an ex of Perri's, who sings personal lyrics. In a blog by the artist, Perri described that the song came from true experiences, stating "I wrote the song after I went home to Philadelphia for the holiday last December. I sat in my childhood bedroom and hid from the boy (with the jar of hearts) who wanted to see me. My heart wanted to see him, my head knew better. I couldn't take one more break so I wrote the song instead."

Pink Wedding

Yesterday Angel, co-owner of the Guitar Museum, asked be if I could join her to a, what she called, a fun wedding. Dooow and Wolf was the couple that would get married.

Do I know them? No! But I did it for Angel.

The officiant was Theresa Nayar, who would sing later.

The wedding ceremony will include a poem and music specially selected for the occasion.  We hope the guests participate during the celebration.

And the guests sure participate during the ceremony. I never saw so much chatting, joking and teasing during a wedding ceremony. There were a lot of Dutch people and I did not know one of them, except of course Angel.

as the lovely SL singer Thera sings live for all.

The first dance of the married couple was a strip act on Tom Jones "You Can Leave Your Hat On" (a song written by Randy Newman. Tom Jones covered the song for the soundtrack of the 1997 British film The Full Monty.)

Angel and I danced when Thera did her performance and left after her last song.
