Jungle Party at T.R.A.C.S. part 2

I knew that I had to manage the party alone yesterday because Rod and Tim had real live issues. So I did study how the contest board works, polished the glasses and I even made a set of gestures. But in my anxiety I totality forgot to put on the floor and ceiling lights. But what was not to me was the storm that made Jenna arrived late. Thankfully see was safe. We had some new guest and most of them in an outfit that matched the theme.
I have to apologize that I was yelling that not everybody casting his or her vote. Because when almost all went wrong with the contest board I saw that the one that did not caste his vote was me. I am very sorry folks.

"My Baby Just Cares for Me"

Surfing the internet I saw this great clay animation of Aardman Animations, Ltd., also known as Aardman Studios. It is an Academy Award-winning British animation studio based in Bristol, United Kingdom. The studio is famous for its stop-motion, clay animation productions, particularly those featuring Plasticine duo Wallace & Gromit.

"My Baby Just Cares for Me" is a jazz standard written by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by Gus Kahn. It was written for the 1930 film version of the 1928 Ziegfeld musical comedy Whoopee!, starring Eddie Cantor. It is known as the signature tune of singer and pianist Nina Simone (Eunice Kathleen Waymon (February 21, 1933 – April 21, 2003), better known by her stage name Nina Simone). Simone recorded the song in 1958 for her debut album, Little Girl Blue. The track remained relatively obscure until 1987, when it was used in a UK television commercial for Chanel No. 5 perfume.

To follow up this exposure, the track was released as a single by Charly Records, entering the UK Singles Chart on October 31, 1987 and becoming, at Number 5, one of Simone's biggest hits almost nineteen years after her previous chart entry. This single also made the top 10 in several European single charts and peaked at number one in the Dutch Top 40. A claymation music video was produced by Aardman Animations and directed by Peter Lord.

Most know our club tune is "Sledgehammer" song by Peter Gabriel.
I picked that song because of the first part of the song:

You could have a steam train
If you'd just lay down your T.R.A.C.S.
You could have an aeroplane flying
If you bring your blue sky back

The video of "Sledgehammer" spawned a widely popular and influential music video directed by Stephen R. Johnson. Aardman Animations and the Brothers Quay provided claymation, pixilation, and stop motion animation that gave life to images in the song. In 1987, it won nine MTV Video Music Awards, a record which still stands as of 2010. It ranked at number four on MTV's 100 Greatest Music Videos Ever Made (1999). MTV later announced that "Sledgehammer" is the most played music video in the history of the station. "Sledgehammer" has also been declared to be MTV's number one animated video of all time.

I'm Yours

Jason Thomas Mraz (pronounced /məˈræz/; born June 23, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter, born and raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Mraz's stylistic influences include reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz, bossa nova and hip hop. Mraz's international breakthrough came with the release of the first single from the album, "I'm Yours". The single peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Mraz his first top ten single.
"I'm Yours" is the first single released by Jason Mraz from his third studio album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
I'm Yours lyrics
Songwriters: Mraz, Jason;

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks, now I'm trying to get back

Before the cool done run out I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and then you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love

Listen to the music of the moment people, dance and sing
We're just one big family
And it's our God-forsaken right to be loved loved loved loved loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm sure
There's no need to complicate, our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

D-d-do do you, but do you, d-d-do
But do you want to come on
Scooch on over closer dear
And I will nibble your ear

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and I laughed

I guess what I be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do, our name is our virtue

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

(I won't hesitate)
Open up your mind and see like me
(No more, no more)
Open up your plans and man you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find that the sky is yours
(It cannot wait, I'm sure)

So please don't, please don't, please don't
(There's no need to complicate)
There's no need to complicate
(Our time is short)
'Cause our time is short
(This is our fate)
This is, this is, this is our fate
I'm yours

Pyjama party at Open Minds

Pajamas, also spelled pyjamas can refer to several related types of clothing. The original paijama are loose, lightweight trousers fitted with drawstring waistbands and worn in South and West Asia by both sexes. In many English-speaking nations, pajamas are loose-fitting, two-piece garments derived from the original garment and worn chiefly for sleeping, but sometimes also for lounging, also by both sexes. More generally, pajamas may refer to several garments, for both daywear and nightwear, derived from traditional pajamas and involving variations of style and material.
The word "pyjama" is a variant of "pajama" (पजामा/پاجامہ) which was incorporated into the English language during British Raj from Hindustani (the progenitor language of modern-day Urdu and Hindi). This word originally derives from the Persian word پايجامه Peyjama meaning "foot garment".

Yang Boyd & [b.o.i.] '500 '3

Today Yang sends me this card.
[click pic for a larger view]
Yang is an old friend. We became friends on Saturday November 8th 2008. Think it was when I bought something in his shop and he wanted to know how it fit and appear on me, because I been larger than the people (boys) that usually buy his clothing. Yang and I never became very close friends but he is a friendly and helpful person and I could even speak Dutch with him. It is sad that he stops making clothes but as he said himself on the card, it's also the right moment. He is the best with the textures but more and more we see prim clothes and I have to admit I also not shop as much at Yang's shop as I did in the past. His clothes already be cheap but with the 50% reduce, its even more worth to visit his shop. His shop at our Island is still open but here is the slurl of his main shop in world: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Girdler/212/138/293
