PIZZA PARTY at T.R.A.C.S

It is already three weeks ago that we had our last party. Real life kept me busy and I been working on the sim for some big changes. About that I tell you more in the next post. First the snapshots of the pizza party with DJ Zee. Zee had made a great set, as always, in theme and we had fun with the TRIVIA I made.

Rutger Hauer died on 19 July 2019 at the age of 75

Rutger Hauer, the versatile Dutch leading man of the ’70s who went on star in the 1982 “Blade Runner” as Roy Batty, died July 19 at his home in the Netherlands after a short illness. He was 75.

Rutger Oelsen Hauer. was born Jan. 23, 1944, in Breukelen, the Netherlands, near Amsterdam. Though both his parents were acting teachers, he took a circuitous route to the craft. He ran away from home at 15 to join the Dutch merchant navy; after returning to Amsterdam in 1962 he briefly studied acting, but exited school again for a stint in the army.

Finally committing himself to the stage, he became a member of the touring experimental troupe Noorder Compagnie, in which he acted, directed and served as costume designer and translator for several years.

His major break came in 1969 when Paul Verhoeven cast him in the title role of “Floris,” an Ivanhoe-like knight who becomes embroiled in court intrigue upon his return from the Crusades. The show proved wildly popular, and Hauer reprised the part in a 1975 revival of the series, “Floris von Rosemund.”
By that time, the steamy, affecting “Turkish Delight” had firmly established him as the Netherlands’ top B.O. attraction. He reunited with Verhoeven and his co-star van de Ven for the period drama “Katie Tippel” (1975); he renewed his collaboration with the director with the World War II saga “Soldier of Orange” (1977) and the bold contemporary drama “Spetters” (1980).

Hauer made an almost immediate and intense impression as Batty in his sophomore American feature “Blade Runner,” an adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” He wrote his own dialog for the film’s climactic face-off with his adversary Ford. Though the film swiftly fell off screens, it remains a genre landmark today, in no small measure because of Hauer’s electrifying performance.
His film credits include Flesh+Blood, Blind Fury, Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Escape from Sobibor (for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor), Nighthawks, Wedlock, Sin City, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Ladyhawke, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Osterman Weekend, The Blood of Heroes, Batman Begins, Hobo with a Shotgun, and The Rite.

Rust zacht Rutger

Ed Sheeran & Travis Scott - Antisocial [Official Video]

All you cool people, you better leave now 'cause it's about to happen

Friday night and I'm riding solo (Yeah)
When I touch down, keep it on the low-low (It's lit)
I don't mess with your energy (No)

No photos, so antisocial but I don't care
Don't give a damn, I'm gonna smoke here
Got a bottle in my hand, bring more though
Got my hat low, don't talk to me (Straight up)

I've been down, give me some space
You don't know what's in my brain
Music loud, easing my pain
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
On something, on something, on something, I wanna riot
Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
Won't let nothing come in between me and the night (Straight up)

Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
On something, on something, on something I wanna riot
Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
Won't let nothing come in between me and the night

I need room, I need room, where you standing way too close
You might catch fumes, might catch fumes when I zoom, when I zoom past
I wake up by myself right past noon, right past noon, then I'm doomed
(Hit the ground, I'm movin' through ya)

Hennessy's drowning all of my issues
Right before I leave she give me more than just a "Miss you" (Yeah)
That thing got more back just like my engine, I can't hit it (No more)
Seen a vision and oh boy did we commit (It's lit)

I've been lost, starting to spin
You left me right in my place
I put you down on my name
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
On something, on something, on something, I wanna riot
Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
Won't let nothing come in between me and the night (Straight up)

Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
On something, on something, on something, I wanna riot
Don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me, I came to vibe, yeah
Won't let nothing come in between me and the night

(Don't touch me, yeah)

Songs about Pizza

"When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That's amore"

"And for a couple weeks I only wanna see her
We drink away the days with a takeaway pizza"

Pizza Party

A pizza party is a social gathering at which pizza is served.

Typically, a pizza that is 10 to 14 inches wide will feed two people.

Since pizzas can include a very wide variety of toppings, one particular type of pizza party allows the party-goers to create their own custom-made pizza, using a selection of ingredients from among the toppings provided by the party's host.

When a pizza party does not include any custom-made pizzas, and the particular preferences of the guests are unknown, it is common to include at least one plain cheese-only or vegetable-only pizza for people who are averse to meats or other available toppings.

PIZZA

Pizza is a savory dish of Italian origin, consisting of a usually round, flattened base of leavened wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and various other ingredients (anchovies, olives, meat, etc.) baked at a high temperature, traditionally in a wood-fired oven. In formal settings, like a restaurant, pizza is eaten with knife and fork, but in casual settings it is cut into wedges to be eaten while held in the hand. Small pizzas are sometimes called pizzettas

The term pizza was first recorded in the 10th century in a Latin manuscript from the Southern Italian town of Gaeta in Lazio, on the border with Campania. Modern pizza was invented in Naples, and the dish and its variants have since become popular in many countries. It has become one of the most popular foods in the world and a common fast food item in Europe and North America, available at pizzerias (restaurants specializing in pizza), restaurants offering Mediterranean cuisine, and via pizza delivery. Many companies sell ready-baked frozen pizzas to be reheated in an ordinary home oven.

The Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (lit. True Neapolitan Pizza Association) is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 with headquarters in Naples that aims to promote traditional Neapolitan pizza. In 2009, upon Italy's request, Neapolitan pizza was registered with the European Union as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed dish, and in 2017 the art of its making was included on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.

History
Foods similar to pizza have been made since the Neolithic Age. Records of people adding other ingredients to bread to make it more flavorful can be found throughout ancient history. In the 6th century BC, the Persian soldiers of Achaemenid Empire during the rule King Darius I baked flatbreads with cheese and dates on top of their battle shields and the ancient Greeks supplemented their bread with oils, herbs, and cheese. An early reference to a pizza-like food occurs in the Aeneid, when Celaeno, queen of the Harpies, foretells that the Trojans would not find peace until they are forced by hunger to eat their tables (Book III). In Book VII, Aeneas and his men are served a meal that includes round cakes (like pita bread) topped with cooked vegetables. When they eat the bread, they realize that these are the "tables" prophesied by Celaeno.

Ed Sheeran - Best Part Of Me (feat. YEBBA)

My lungs are black, my heart is pure
My hands are scarred from nights before
And my hair is thinnin', falling out
Of all the wrong places
I am a little insecure

My eyes are crossed, but they're still blue
I bite my nails and tell the truth
I go from thin to overweight
Day to day it fluctuates
My skin is inked, but faded too

But she loves me, she loves me
Why the hell she love me
When she could have anyone else?
Oh you love me, you love me
Why the hell do you love me?
'Cause I don't even love myself

Baby, the best part of me is you
And lately everything's making sense too
Oh baby, I'm so in love with you

I overthink and still forget
I lose my phone and place my bets
And I never catch the train on time
Always thirty minutes behind
Your worries ain't seen nothin' yet

But you love me, you love me
Why the hell you love me so
When you could have anyone else?
Yeah yeah, he loves me, he loves me
And I bet he never lets me go
And shows me how to love myself

'Cause, baby, the best part of me is you, woah
Lately everything's making sense too
Baby, I'm so in love with you
(With you)

Baby, the best part of me is you, woah
Lately everything's making sense too
Oh baby, I'm so in love with you (Ooh)

Baby, I'm so in love with you, yeah, yeah
Oh baby, I'm so in love with you

Ed Sheeran - BLOW

In the wee hours of Monday morning Ed Sheeran dropped a new video for “Blow,” the song featuring Bruno Mars and Chris Stapleton from his forthcoming “No. 6 Collaborations Project” album, which comes out Friday. Between the mix of soft and gritty vocals and that guitar solo, this jam is sure to get your speakers blasting and blood pumping.

The video for the unexpectedly hard-rocking song was directed by Mars and apparently does not feature any of the performers, whose roles are played by glammed up female doppelgangers. Cementing the rock vibe, the clip was shot at The Viper Room in Los Angeles.
Sheeran has now unveiled five tracks from his upcoming LP.  “I Don’t Care” with Justin Bieber is already shaping up to be the song of summer and climbing the radio charts in tandem with the second and third singles revealed – “Cross Me” featuring Chance The Rapper & PnB Rock and “Beautiful People” featuring Khalid, respectively, and the ballad “Best Part of Me” was released with “Blow” last Friday.

FRIED CHICKEN PARTY

I'm always surprised about the creativity our guests (and also the deejays) have, to come on theme even at hard themes. Tim and I were mostly honoured that Beeb Carter came to our party. Beeb is our favourite TRIVIA maker. Beeb tests her trivia’s very well before she places them on Market Place. We never had mistaken answers or errors with the trivia she had made. For information about her Trivia quizzes or join 'Beeb's Trivia" group and visit her website https://sites.google.com/view/beebstrivia/home

And here are the snapshots I made during the party.
Maybe I must call them Polaroid Shots because I try to keep them square.
