Groningen has Christmas tree of bike scrap

Groningen a meters high Christmas tree composed of bike scrap (fietswrakken) on the Fish market (Vismarkt), in the Centre of the city. The tree of artist Maria Koijck is meant to find a signal about the pollution that is created by people.

 The tree of scrap is almost 10 meters high and consists of around sixty "fietswrakken. The lighting consists of led lights. The Christmas tree at the Fish market will be there until shortly after the Christmas season.
